While this year’s CES wasn’t so happening as we’ve seen in the past due to the COVID-19 pandemic still prevailing across the world, we did see several tech companies take interest in making lives simpler for people who are fighting the novel coronavirus every single day of their lives.

In these companies, gaming peripheral maker Razer wasn't behind, as it unveiled to world  a rather cool looking semi transparent face mask with the RGB goodness that’s featured on their gaming hardware. While it was showcased as a concept dubbed Project Hazel, reports have surfaced that they’re actually going to be making and shipping these facemasks.

This announcement was made by Razer's CEO Ming liang tan  in an interview with Yahoo Finance. He said, “We were thinking, this is a concept project and is this going to be relevant when vaccinations and everything has been rolled out. We are going to proceed in making it a reality and ship the smart mask.”

He added, “We are going to go ahead and solve the sustainable aspect of the mask which is one of the big things for us. Project Hazel is going to be a reality. We are going to make it happen and I think we will all will be, unfortunately, wearing masks for a long time to come."

The mask is made from plastic however, this glossy transparent plastic is actually waterproof and scratch-resistant. The shell also houses two ventilators that get Razer's Chroma RGB rings. These ventilators also double as voice amplifiers with mics embedded on the inside, allowing you to speak without having your voice muffled.
